How Du GOOD Studio is Transforming Communication for the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce
In a time when attention spans are short and digital noise is constant, strong communication isn’t just about sharing information—it’s about building relationships. That’s exactly what we’ve been helping the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce do: connect more deeply, consistently, and creatively with the community it serves. Through our integrated approach to content and communication, Du GOOD Studio has helped the Chamber craft a cohesive brand voice across video, social media, print, and live events.
It started with a vision: what if the Chamber could do more than just post occasional updates or hang banners during events? What if it could be a dynamic voice in the community conversation—present, relevant, and engaging year-round? From that question, we’ve shaped a communication strategy that delivers clarity, creativity, and cohesion across every channel.
A Unified Brand Voice
Before anything else, our first goal was to establish a consistent brand voice for the Chamber. Many local organizations struggle to maintain consistency across different forms of media, which can dilute their message and confuse audiences. At Du GOOD Studio, we helped create a set of visual and editorial standards that now guide all the Chamber’s outward-facing content—from social media graphics to email newsletters to the physical signage seen around town.
That consistency builds trust. When the community sees a flyer, banner, or Facebook post with the Chamber’s branding, they immediately recognize it. Over time, that recognition turns into engagement. Our goal has always been to make the Chamber’s messaging feel familiar, professional, and inviting—whether you’re a longtime business owner or a newcomer just exploring what Cornwall has to offer.
Launching the Cornwall Conversations Podcast
A major milestone in this effort was the launch of Cornwall Conversations, a podcast series we created in collaboration with the Chamber. This isn’t just another talking-head interview show. It’s a storytelling platform designed to highlight the people, projects, and possibilities shaping the future of Cornwall.
Each episode features local voices—from business owners and nonprofit leaders to elected officials and cultural visionaries—sharing stories that matter. We designed the podcast set, handled the production, developed episode graphics, and ensured every episode was optimized for YouTube, Facebook, and podcast platforms. The show has become a powerful tool not only for boosting the Chamber’s visibility, but also for helping members of the community feel seen and heard.
April Fools’ Day: Going Viral with a Twist
Of course, communication isn’t just about professionalism—it’s also about having a little fun. This past April Fools’ Day, we helped the Chamber pull off a clever and good-natured prank that captured the town’s attention: a fake announcement about a new “TikTok-branded deli” opening in the Lemon Building.
We treated the joke like a real campaign—complete with branding, video content, and a spoof segment on the Cornwall Conversations podcast. The response was overwhelming. The video racked up over 13,000 views in less than 24 hours, with shares and comments pouring in across Facebook and Instagram. More importantly, it sparked conversations, laughter, and engagement—exactly what great communication should do. It proved that even a small-town Chamber can go big when creativity meets strategy.
Street Banners and Print Design
While digital content is essential, physical branding still plays a critical role in community engagement—especially in a town like Cornwall where Main Street is the heartbeat of local activity. That’s why we’ve also handled the design for a wide array of street banners promoting Chamber events like the Cornwall Car Show, the Cornwall Goes Green Recycle Day, Mixer Events and more.
Our goal with these banners wasn’t just to inform—it was to beautify the town and make people feel excited about what’s happening. Each design is crafted to feel fresh yet familiar, aligning with the Chamber’s brand while standing out on its own. These banners act as event anchors and are often the first touchpoint for residents and visitors alike. It’s branding you can walk past, look up to, and feel a part of.
Social Media: From Routine to Resonant
Too often, social media becomes an afterthought—an obligation rather than an opportunity. We’ve worked to shift that mindset by building out a robust social media calendar that turns everyday moments into compelling stories. Whether it’s a member ribbon cutting, a mixer recap, or a behind-the-scenes look at event setup, we treat each post as a chance to connect with the community and reinforce the Chamber’s personality: professional, welcoming, and a little bit witty.
Our posts combine eye-catching design with thoughtful copy, always aligned with broader Chamber messaging. Over time, this has helped increase engagement, grow followers, and build a stronger sense of identity across platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
The Power of Integration
What ties all of this together—podcasts, posts, banners, pranks—is our integrated approach. We don’t treat each piece of content as a one-off. We design everything to work as part of a bigger system. The podcast ties into social media posts. The April Fools’ prank incorporated video, graphics, and scripted content. Event banners match what people see online. There’s a rhythm and repetition that reinforces key messages and makes everything feel connected.
It’s this level of integration that turns communication into community building. Because when people consistently see thoughtful, high-quality content from a trusted source, they’re more likely to engage, attend events, support local businesses, and take pride in their town.
What’s Next?
As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue helping the Cornwall Chamber evolve its communications even further. We’re exploring new content formats, fresh event strategies, and deeper ways to showcase the stories that make this town special. Whether it’s through video, audio, photography, or print—we’ll continue to tell Cornwall’s story with creativity, clarity, and purpose.
At Du GOOD Studio, we believe that small towns deserve big ideas. And through our partnership with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, we’ve proven that with the right team, the right tools, and the right mindset, anything is possible.
